MakerVent Model T Bill of Materials

This BOM is now finalized, it represents the machine that we will describe in our request for FDA authorization. I'm listing the distributors or online suppliers that I bought from, you may need to choose another supplier in your locality. In the case of some parts, the manufacturer/MPN information is incomplete, but the supplier part number ordering info is accurate. I will update this BOM with the missing information soon.

All parts have been reviewed for bio-compatibility, and an oxygen cleaning protocol was developed. The first machine was built, cleaned, and tested for compliance with the ISO 18562 standard for bio-compatibility and safety of breathable gas, at a well-established national testing lab, and it passed. I will be posting the test results, risk analysis, and details of the required cleaning procedure soon.

If you build a ventilator as described in these pages,

UNLESS IT IS ASSEMBLED AND CLEANED IN THE SAME WAY AS THE MACHINE THAT PASSED ISO 18562 TESTS, I DO NOT RECOMMEND BREATHING GAS THAT PASSES THROUGH THAT MACHINE.

I'll be providing more information on this site soon. The procedures are developed, but we are still formally documenting some loose ends, and if you want to build a safe machine from these parts you should get in touch with us first.
